Thinking about signing up for the Nurture Programme but not sure if you are making the right decision?
It is natural to be cautious before making an investment in your business (and your future) – you need to be sure that you are making the right decision.
Graduates from our leading VA training have shared with us that although the training was pivotal in the launch and subsequent success of their VA businesses, that they did have concerns before joining the programme.
To help you decide if the Nurture Programme is right for you, here are some of the most common concerns people have before signing up:
1. I don’t know what I need.
Don’t know what you need? No problem – please trust me when I say that you are not alone. Most people we talk to know that they want to start their own flexible online business, but don’t know where to start. That is where we come in – we will take you step by step through your vision for the business, help you gain clarity on the end game and create the plan along the way.
2. I can’t afford it.
Unsurprisingly, we get this one a lot – “I would love to join, but I just can’t afford it right now’. I understand – right at the beginning of your journey, you may not have a huge amount of funds to spend and you also may be nervous about investing so much in training.
But you do need to invest in the right things for your business to reap the benefits. Training isn’t a nice to have, it is an essential way to ensure you are setting things up in the right way and preparing for success. Why wouldn’t you want to learn from other people’s experience and, more importantly their mistakes?
The great thing is that results speak for themselves..our training was proven in the most recent UK VA survey to earn our graduates AT LEAST £2,000 per year more than any other VA training programme. Not only that, it was shown to earn our graduates AT LEAST £6,000 per year more than VAs that had no training, so the return on investment is clear to see.
3. I don’t have the time to invest in training.
I sympathise with this one 100%! We are all busy with our lives/family/jobs and adding in extra study time can feel like the straw that will break the camels back. But building a business does take time…
Our Nurture Programme is designed to be taken alongside employment so only requires a few hours of dedication per week (of course you can do more if you have more time to spend).
Ask yourself, are you really too busy to invest a few hours a week in the future of your business & lifestyle?
4. It won’t work for me.
Some people come to me to talk about our training keen to sign up, but utterly convinced that training won’t work for them as what they really need is help setting up a business.
This training is focused on giving you as a business owner the core skills you need to plan, set up and launch a successful online business. We don’t cover off ‘how to be a VA’ per se – there is some skills based training included, but the focus is very much on running a safe, professional and profitable business.

5. I’m not based in the UK.
I get asked this one a lot – will it be relevant to me if I am based outside of the UK…
Most of the content within the programme is generic, no matter where in the world you are based. As I myself am UK based, there are some specific examples etc that are tailored towards the UK, of course. My advice if you are based outside of the UK is to use the materials and advice as a starting point and then check any of the nuances and differences in your own region to be sure.
6. I’ve seen cheaper alternatives out there.
There are VAs entering the industry every day – its popularity as a lifestyle and business choice is growing hugely as people want a better work/life balance and flexiblity around their career and personal committments. Similarly, there are more and more trainers coming in to the market. As with all industries, some will be cheaper, some more expensive. In my experience, you need to consider costs of course, but you do get what you pay for.
My advice is do your research – look at testimonials, speak to your trainer and understand the value you are getting with the course. We are proud to provide huge value with our programme, including free contracts, 1:1 buddying support and group coaching.
In the end the key is finding a trainer that you connect with, trust and feel will be nurturing enough to support you on your journey.
7. I need accountability to stay on track.
Need accountability? Great, you are DEFINITELY in the right place then. Our Nurture Programme, although based on a core study programme online, has oodles of accountability thrown in to it, including:
– Monthly Q&A Coaching sessions
– Weekly emails & check ins
– 1:1 Buddy Support
– Dedicated private Facebook group with daily posts/inspiration
– Unlimited email access to Charlotte
So there really is no excuse to not be supported on your journey.
8. I can’t make all the live Q&A sessions.
We run our group Q&A calls live at lunchtime every 3rd Tuesday of the month. If you can’t make one, no worries – all of the sessions are recorded and then circulated to trainees the next day, PLUS, you can pre-submit questions by email or in the Facebook group beforehand for Charlotte to answer on the call. Of course, if you can make some calls we would encourage you to do so, but you will still get the value from the recordings if not.

9. I am looking for a qualification as a VA.
I understand that in the current environment with many VAs now in the market, that there are people looking to stand out from the crowd. In fact, this is why we created VIP VA in the outset to encourage professional VAs and set industry standards.
At the end of the Nurture Programme, provided you have completed all of the exercises, tasks and therefore meet our criteria, you will receive VIP VA Accredition – the gold standard of VAs within the industry. You can use this to demonstrate to potential clients, and other VAs, that you are running your business in a safe, professional & ethical way.
10. I’m not sure I am ready to make the leap.
Now this is one of the concerns that may be founded. I can give you all of the security & reassurance above that this is the right training for you, however what I cannot do is determine if now is the right time for you to make the leap. Only you can decide if the timing is right. Think about your vision, how much you want to get there and what sacrifices you will have to make if you don’t take that leap of faith. In your gut you will know the answer, but if you do want to talk it through, I am always available to chat it over – that often provides the clarity you need either way.
Hopefully this has given you some clarity around whether the programme is going to be the right for you. As I say, the most important thing when the time is right is to find a trainer and programme that feels like the right fit for you. Go with your gut!
